Miracles Really Do Happen!

I am writing this from the comfort of my own bed. While nugget is screaming (happy screams) at the top of his lungs, Demetrius is calling for his sister, and Tre is time out. Our friends the Robinson's are in the kitchen warming up enchiladas from our other friends, the Arcibal's, and I am safe in bed. Ahhh, it's good to be home

And God healed me. The tests showed from the beginning that I had a new exposure to CMV virus, then they showed that I had no old antibodies to the virus and that it was a first time infection. My spinal fluid confirmed that I had some sort of infection. And then today my blood test to show the DNA of the CMV in my blood was negative, and there was NO CMV in my spinal fluid, the doctors were dumb founded. Yesterday late afternoon my headache disappeared and hasn't been back since. I was on a morphine drip for pain, and just stopped using it yesterday afternoon and haven't needed anything since!

And so, they sent me home. Because the CMV in my blood came back negative now, they don't even need to do an amniocentesis on the baby, and the experimental treatment is no longer necessary, a MIRACLE!

They did take more blood today, and will continue to run tests on it. And I go back in two weeks to check the baby's growth and "debrief" as the doctor put it. They want to review everything and talk again, because they can't believe it!

So i am home. I have a bit of a road ahead of me. As I hadn't walked much for a week, and so I am very weak. I need to regain my strength and fight off this hospital cold I got, and then let my body recover. I had nine IVs in seven days because the meds were so strong they'd "blow my veins". So I have many bruises and sores, plus I got blood drawn three times a day, and up to ten shots a day, and the spot of my spinal tap is still very bothersome. But all in all, I feel amazing. Nothing a few goodnights of sleep and love from my friends and family can't cure!

Thank you for praying and caring, and helping us in all the ways you have. We truly felt so loved and supported. And although I missed my babies, I never once worried whether they were being taken care of!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
