Surprise!

While David has been gone, I have been working away! My living room needed a fresh face...
Here it is before:

We went from country chic...

To industrial modern chic, with a few of my old funk thrown in!

This is Charlie, I couldn't resist him... my boys are infatuated with crocs, so I thought we could have a family croc as an ode!

This is an ode to my husband, because he is a pilot and this will make him smile!
As you can see, I used a LOT of the same pieces. This reDO really was just about furniture placement, paint, and using my imagination. If I hadn't have paid someone to re-paint it would have only cost me a total of $330- which $200 was the rug:)

One of my favorite things about this space is that there is meaning in most every piece. The coffee table I made from an old medical cart that I had welded down ($25), and a door that David and I found while four-wheeling in the mountains during our first getaway as a couple!
Several of the little nick knacks are from the farm that has been in David's family for generations. The pink chair has been in my sewing room, and is my little bit of femininity...
I just really love how it all turned out!
BTW: There are other fabulous and thrifty reDo's here.)
